The Book of Matthew (Introduction) | Spoken Word

Watch our Introduction video on the book of Matthew, which outlines the book's main theme and how it is fulfilled in Jesus. Matthew shows us how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament. He pictures the Old Testament like a treasure chest that contain old and new treasure (Matthew 13:52). The old treasure in the Hebrew scriptures hasn't gone anywhere, neither has it faded or lost value (Matthew 5:17-18). But Matthew helps us see that there is a new treasure hidden in Scripture, and it is Jesus. All of the Old Testament finds its new treasure in how Jesus fulfills it.
